The Galloping Ghost Layout Drawings Group of 4 (Hanna-Barbera, 1978). The Galloping Ghost was half of the 30-minute Saturday morning animated series Buford and the Galloping Ghost. In this spin-off of Yogi’s Space Race, the character Nugget Nose is a feisty ghost of an Old West gold prospector who is guardian to two teenage cowgirls, Wendy and Rita, employees at the Fuddy Dude Ranch owned by grouchy old Fenwick Fuddy. This is a collection of four original layout drawing from the Fuddy Dude Ranch. Each drawing is ink and gray marker on animation paper and are stamped ©Hanna-Barbera Productions and dated 4/26, five months before the first episode aired. The sizes range from 10.5″ x 12.5″ to 10.5″ x 37.5″. They show the exterior of the hotel, two opposite views of the lobby and a bedroom and are labeled as such. The detail and scale of these drawings from the early, developmental stage of a 1970s Hanna-Barbera show are truly impressive.
