Elmer Plummer – Cheerios Kid Design Concept Art (Norman Wright Productions, 1950s)

In Elmer Plummer’s resume, prepared for a 1979 for Funny World magazine interview, he labeled himself as “Designer, artist, illustrator in national magazine advertising and TV commercials”.
Here is a simply amazing set of his character designs done while at Norman Wright Productions, for several animated TV Commercials. There are 11 pages of 14″ x 17″ paper with multiple images on each sheet. “Cartoon Modern” artwork galore in this lot! The first two drawings look very similar to early The Cheerios Kid designs. Large images of 5″ to 10″. Early beer ad designs are also included. High quality character design artwork from the infancy of the animated TV commercial.
