Moby Dick and Mighty Mightor Concept Art (Hanna-Barbera, 1966)

Rare conceptual art for a series that premiered on 9-9-67 on CBS. The show featured the underwater adventures of two boys, Tom and Tub, and the great white whale, Moby Dick. This is a rare 1966 concept/pitch montage used to showcase this program to networks, sponsors, staff, and H-B executives. Four detailed images, trimmed, and mounted to black presentation board. Board is hand-titled with a 1966 copyright notice for Hanna-Barbera Productions., Inc. Each panel measures approximately. 10″ x 12,” all mounted to board of 21″ x 26″. Artists of this work are believed to be Alex Toth, Iwoa Takamoto, and Tony Sgroi. An unusual look into how a show is brought to television.
